Monday 27th June - Returning to Scotland.
Gavin, David and I left the Residence in a bit of a state, dishes were clean and item we had borrowed were returned but there was food left out on the table which we hadn't been able to finish off ourselves. It felt odd as we approached the airport, seeing the same buildings, billboards, landscapes and sights that we had some 5months ago when we arrived in Malta. In the airport Gavin produced a tin of corned beef which he intended to have as a pre-flight snack but when he opened it he had second thoughts. The British Airways flight took us to Manchester Airport where we hopped onto a flight back to Glasgow. I was glad to be getting home and wasn't as sorry to say goodbye to Malta as David and Gavin were (namely due to being homesick), though I knew that I would miss it. The Malta Experience was phenomenal and four years on I still find myself saying "when we were in Malta we...".
